Even though we live in the land of the "never-ending sunshine", we still get chilly when boating. The first picture is our friend, Kara, who is sporting the infamous dry suit last fall. Perks of dry-suit: you stay completely dry. Draw backs: you feel like a sumo-wrestler! Thank you Kara for modeling for us!

This is me. If they had a professional category for "most spastic" or "biggest woose when it comes to cold water", then I might be able to go pro!
The rest of the pics are from when we went watersking with Gerron and Kim Dover a couple of weeks ago. Kim was super-awesome-picture-takerer because she must've taken a million in order to get the one good one of me!
This is Ryan. He makes it look easy. He's almost professional. But, not quite! This is me. If they had a professional category for "most spastic" or "biggest woose when it comes to cold water", then I might be able to go pro!

Man I look gooooood! Why didn't the picture of your rear in the sumo suit make it?
Cool pictures. Looks like fun. Go Lena!
Aren't dry suits awesome, we went wakeboarding on New Years Day my freshman year of college (don't tell coach), it was snowing, but still fun!
So we came up with a comeback for grumpy grocery store over opinionated man - Only 2 months late!
"Why don't you just turn off your hearing aid!"
You like?
Yay! Wakeboarding! We love it! Jeff is also really good! I can't do it because of my bad joints, but I sure love to go on the boat and ride along. Usually we go to Lake Powell with Jeff's family every summer, but this year is a no go - I'm totally bummed! But we'll be out on Utah Lake a lot, I'm sure! Love reading your blog! :)
That is a nice dry suit! John and I used to use one when we had a boat. I was always so "tough" and said I didn't need anything, I grew up swimming in the ocean at Santa Cruz! But once I tried it, there was no going back. Face, feet and hands still get pretty cold in January though ;-)
Nice air Lena!
Looks like such a blast! I haven't been wakeboarding for about 8 years or so. It sure is fun! Great pic of you too!
Lena, you are waaaayy too humble. Not just anyone can jump the wake like that! you go girl! I've got a lot of other pics to prove it. Your spastic days are gone- left behind in TX. ;-) I do miss those sometimes... ha ha! You had us laughing so hard my cheeks would hurt. When are we going out next?!?
Where we live (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), you can't even go swimming until July and sometimes not until August. We had a foot of snow this past week!
Lena, way to rock the wakeboard!! Holy Ravioli, you have some serious skills!
Sweet! You guys do really look professional! Now I can say I have a friend that's a pro wakeboarder!
