EASTER--YAHOO!

Saturday morning started with a panic attack. It was POURING outside! We had five other families coming over and we were counting on picnic tables to seat and feed everyone...but the biggest issue was where to do the crafts? I had made three very large batches (normal batch quadrupled) of playdough, and Walker and I had gathered hundreds of sticks and twigs to use in making little nests. We opted to keep the mess as close to the outside as possible, which meant using the garage! It worked...not exactly pretty--no time to decorate (horrible, I know)--but it worked!

Some of the nests turned out pretty good...

Some were kinda wild...

Some were really wild...

And some never made it to nest form...

We decorated cookies while the dad's hid eggs. Miss Hailey-Bailey makes me laugh everytime I see the pics of her with her crazily topped cookies.

The rain stopped long enough for an easter egg hunt. Sheeew!

Most came away with a killing!

After the egg hunt we had a little bbq with everybody crammed inside! We had a great time, but we hope we can do it outside next year!

On Easter Sunday we went to the Dover's home for a fabulous easter dinner! Super delish and super relaxing (it was a beautiful sunny day, I might add!) Here's Indi and her bestest little friend Mia!

Oh, yes. How DARE you even DREAM of not decorating your garage for Easter! I'm sure it ruined everyone's day (as evidenced by the pictures of those sad, sad, deprived children).

Are you catching the sarcasm I'm throwin' your way?

Wow, the kids have grown up so much! Looks like you did a great job of improvising.

LENA! I love how you can roll with the punches!...the garage was perfect for some good nest making :) And I'm glad the weather got better for the easter egg hunt! Looks like you and the fam had a sweet Easter :) Love you!

Ok, you are awesome. The impressive thing is that you had a cool craft for your kids to do and remember, and that there was room in your garage to fit them all. What a fun memory for your family.

I like the really crazy nest! And the one that never made it to nest. It just matches the artist inside of me. Happy Easter!
